A Road Ready Tiger​

We showed you the latest spy shots nabbed by photographers, but now there’s photographic evidence that a Tiger XR will be coming in 2020 as well as the regular version of the bike. Morebikes was able to snag a couple of pictures of the Tiger XR out testing. You can see the bike in the image above and check out more images over at that publication.

Triumph’s new 2020 Tiger has a larger displacement engine, new subframe, split radiator, and a whole lot more. The bike looks to be a big step forward. According to Morebikes, the XR version of the Tiger gets cast wheels, a larger windscreen, and larger wheels for better road manners.

The publication also notes that there will be a taller first gear and some more power midway through the rev range. All of these things together should make the Tiger XR a fantastic road bike. Triumph should reveal the new 2020 Tiger at EICMA this fall. It will likely be accompanied by the regular version of the bike as well as a new Triumph 765 Daytona and maybe a new Thruxton. It’ll be interesting to see how good the bike is. Once it’s out we’ll try to get on one for a test ride.
